Abstract

Penyebaran pesantren memberi kontribusi positif terhadap kehidupan masyarakat secara luas, baik yang terkait dengan usaha pencerdasan  maupun yang terkait tatanan ke- hidupan sosial yang lebih kondusif. Gambaran ini diperoleh dari penelusuran di Bantaeng dengan menggunakan metode  pemetaan kapasitas. Pesebaran pesntren yang terjadi  merupakan  buah atau hasil dari kerja keras pesantren dengan modal semangat dan idealisme yang terus menerus meningkatkan diri (kapasitas), mengusung bendera pendidikan agama sebagai core (inti), dan menjadi pintu masuknya. Dari situ melakukan pengembangan yaitu pengembaraan kepada aspek-aspek lain, yang terkait dengan kebutuhan masyarakat sekitar.
